Colon Health is Body Health November 27, 2006 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Brenda Watson has done the research on colon health and Renew Your Life is one of the basic keys to balanced health. Her step-by-step program along with her H.O.P.E. formula is an important basic beginning to getting your body back to a healthy state, or at least, to a state of balance where you can then concentrate on "fine tuning." I don't agree that you need all of her products, but I do agree that detoxing the colon, liver, kidneys, etc. is an unfortuneate necessity in our society.

Excellent Practical Information July 30, 2006 32 out of 32 found this review helpful
As a chiropractor, my patients are always asking me about what kinds of cleanses are effective and safe. I really like the way Brenda Watson lays out her book. Her text is easy to read and is accompanied by helpful graphics. She presents diverse methods for cleansing and also relates them well to the maintenance of overall good health. I would highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to recover from the deleterious effects of long term digestive imbalance or who wishes to generally improve health. It is especially good for those who have experienced chronic infections accompanied by numerous rounds of antibiotics and the havoc they create in the body long term. The body knows how to heal once given the permission and the right tools. This book is a helpful tool.
Important information, simply explained November 30, 2003 48 out of 52 found this review helpful
There are plenty of books on digestion and detox - but some are too complicated. This book explained everything you need to know about digestive issues in an easy to follow manner. Ms. Watson gives recommedations for cleansing not only the colon but the liver. There is information on diet, parasites, candida, heavy metal toxicity, and more. Apparently, she also sells the cleansing products that she recommends. She has a website, www.renewyourlife.com if you are interested in discovering more about her products.
Change Your Life - read this book February 3, 2003 38 out of 38 found this review helpful
I had what I thought was a "sensitive stomach" for years. In the late 80's it got to where my stomach hurt when I ate and hurt when I didn't eat. I had a series of tests done and all they could say was that I had "nervous gas" and that I must be stressed. I knew there were certain foods I should avoid, so I did. Things did improve some. Then I started reading alot and over the years have adopted some or most of the ideas Brenda Watson recommends. Now I'm in my 40's and it seems everyone around me (including my dog) is suffering from some sort of digestive problem. I myself am much better now than when I was younger although still not perfect. Some people seem to be put off by the subject of digestion and elimination. Now I can just point them to this wonderful book. Well everyone, except my dog. I only have one small complaint about this book. I WISHED it had an index in the back. I'd give almost anything for an index.
A handbook for digestive issues December 1, 2002 30 out of 31 found this review helpful
This book addresses anybody's digestive issues. I am a licensed nutritionist, and I will have each of my clients get this book and read it before coming to see me. It is full of graphs and diagrams, as in a text book, but reads in a very clear, organized and informed manner. Most statements are referenced so you know the author didn't just inject her opinion. The only thing I disagree on is her position that it is not good to remain a vegetarian all one's life. But at least she backed up that viewpoint with a reference. Maybe she'll change her mind some day. Great book.
